The Program:

  • Rebels Los Angeles is officially up to 12 teams and growing as the newest addition to the group was the 4-5-6th grade girls

  • Rebels Basketball successfully completes a program Texas Trip for a tournament in March of 2026. This marks the 3rd out of State Tournament behind Arizona and Las Vegas (yearly tradition)

  • Rebels Basketball will be launching its 2nd/3rd grade girls developmental program in the Summer of 2026

  • Rebels Director, Nareg Kopooshian nominated as one of the Most Influential High School Coaches in Southern California by Silver Waves Media

  • Rebels Director, Nareg Kopooshian will be coaching the FIBA Armenia u16 National Team July 4-12 in Yerevan, Armenia

  • Rebels players, Ethan Kazanjian and Jivan Dorian, are among those selected to be on the Armenia National U16 Roster

  • Lady Rebels Forward, Chloe Mitilian is selected to join the FIBA Armenia National U16 Women’s Roster

  • Coach Armen Leylekian advances to the CIF Quarterfinals with the AGBU Varsity Girls in the 2025/26 Season

  • Rebels Co-Director Aram Arslanian launches Maincard MMA App, which is a proud partner of Rebels Basketball

  • Isaiah Bennett (1000+ HS career scorer), Distinguished Rebels Alumni successfully finished his freshman season at NCAA Division 3 — University of La Verne

  • Avand Dorian (1500+ HS career scorer), Distinguished Rebels Alumni, played basketball at NCAA Division 1 — USC Trojans

  • Gary Ekmekjian, Distinguished Rebels Alumni, played basketball at NCAA Division 3 — Lake Forest College

  • Apriar Harmandjian, Distinguished Rebels Alumni, played basketball at Glendale Community College

  • Garo Ohannessian, Distinguished Rebels Alumni, currently holds a single game 3pt FGM record at AGBU with 13 3’s in 1 game (December 2025) — The record was previously held by Andrew Keshishian (11) and Matthew Sahnazoglu (12)
